MYOB enhances UX with modern fresh new look

Following significant client and partner user experience (UX) testing and feedback MYOB has invested heavily in time and resources and will be delivering the biggest visual change to their MYOB Business products in years.

The more user-friendly browser changes include a side menu and simpler labels that are easier to navigate. Small business owners will also appreciate the more common language approach now being taken to replace technical terminology. MYOB has also added a new ‘shortcuts’ feature in the Help section, to quickly link users to the tasks they need.

The new user experience reduces the clutter of menu choices which often left clients confused and frustrated and relying heavily on advisors to help navigate the platform.  This easy-to-follow navigation aids clients and bookkeepers to complete tasks faster with less need to understand what a menu choice means.  Moving to a collapsible side menu means that users and bookkeepers are focused on the numbers in all the important areas like dashboard, banking and payroll. Our pilot users are loving the fresh new look and have raved about how sexy and simple it looks and how easy it is to adjust to the new side navigation and labels.

Leanne Berry, MYOB Community Relations Manager for Bookkeepers, explained that having piloted this fresh new look for a few weeks now - I love it.  The new Create Menu to me is the magic wand of bookkeepers – just about everything you need to do can be accessed from this one power menu!
