The Drought - Help Our Farmers

Farmers and many of our Rural communities are suffering what some are calling the worst drought in living memory.

  • 98% of NSW is now in drought
  • 60% of QLD is also in drought
  • Towns are running out of water
  • Pastures are turning to rubble
  • Farmers are being forced to de-stock as the cost of feed and transport rises
  • The drought is having devastating effects on our communities and causing both physical and mental health issues among our rural communities.

It is also important for us to keep in mind that local businesses including bookkeepers are also hurting during this difficult time.

This has left many people asking “What can I do to help?” Australian Bookkeepers Network are encouraging members if they can to donate to one of the following great causes. Both of these causes are registered charities and are actively working in these drought effected areas.  All donations over $2 are fully tax deductable.
