The ATO has requested that we pass on the following message as a matter of priority.
 
If you receive an email from the ATO from delayedreturn@ato.gov.au do not open it, and delete the email immediately.
 
If you have opened it, scan your machine with up-to-date anti-virus software.
 
This scam email has been sent out widely.
 
The ATO is no longer using the above email address.
