The TPAR tells us about payments that are made to contractors for providing services. Some government entities also need to report the grants they have paid in a TPAR.
Taxable payments annual report (TPAR) are looming
Mixed services are also captured in the TPAR regime… A business that provides one or more of the six services listed below is included, but it may surprise you to learn that businesses such as florists, building maintenance, franchisees and retailers and event management may also have reporting obligations.
A reminder the Taxable payments annual report (TPAR) is due for lodgement by 28 August 2019 for business providing:
• Building and construction services
• Cleaning services for contractor payments
• Courier services for contractor payments.
Plus from 1 July 2019 contractor payments for:
• Road freight
• Information technology (IT) services
• Security, investigation or surveillance services.
